Well, he is black, he is frosty-faced, gently greying and he is that bit older...
But please, see beyond this, and you will find a fabulous greyhound that is
* mature,
* soooo handsome,
* pretty confident,
* a nice walker,
* affectionate and interactive with humans,
* sociable with the other hounds,
* elegant and easy to fall in love with (described as being as suave as James Bond by one of his many kennel admirers).
DEL BOY turned 6 years old in January, stopped racing a full year before that and has NEVER lived in a home.
We think this gorgeous guy deserves all the luck and love in the world starting right now.
PARK REPORT – DEL BOY.
DEL BOY, took a trip to the local park to gauge his reactions and interactions in that unfamiliar environment. Just as we suspected, he was a star.
DEL BOY travelled well in the car and got in and out in style.
He’s a steady boy with a confident swagger, as you would expect from Mr Suave. DEL BOY is good on the lead and walks well at his handler’s pace.
He was fine with other walkers, cyclists and people passing him on the path as he went on his way.
When he spotted a westie in the distance, he was interested and focused. On approach to meet, he was excited and a bit bouncy to greet, however the westie barked. It appeared agitated and nervous. DEL BOY didn’t respond to this, but looked back disappointed as he didn’t get to say hi.
DEL BOY walked well in the high street and wasn’t fazed by traffic and cyclists passing.
At the end of the walk, he met a husky type hound, they sniffed noses, then the husky barked and was restrained as he tried to lunge at DEL BOY. Again our lad was not remotely fazed by this.
So there you have it. Overall, DEL BOY is a mature, steady hound who is sociable and has the makings of a marvellous companion. Now all he needs is to find his perfect match - could it be you?
