Please say hi to little MINNIE who has just joined the GRF homeless crew. MINNIE is 4 years old, bright eyed, small and has the prettiest fawn and white coat. Intrepid little MINNIE has already taken a trip to the local park and here's how she did - MINNIE travelled well in the car to the park but needed lifting in there and back. She was a little trembly and nervous on arrival but settled down ok. She proceeded to walk well on the path and was interested in her new surroundings. Her radar ears were twitching, at the ready! On seeing a labrador and a dachshund ahead she was interested. They briefly exchanged sniffs, she ignored a growl from the dachshund and carried on walking. Good girl, rise above that nonsense! MINNIE exchanged sniffs with a lively 18 week old collie pup and stuck her tongue out to greet him. The puppy wanted to play but MINNIE wasn’t interested in being silly and continued on her walk. At the park she was alert and was focused on a small moving dog. Obviously moving objects in the distance were more enticing than close up meets. MINNIE is a good walker in the main but did pull walking in the high street (she is inquisitive). This would be easily managed (especially in the early days) with a harness. She stood up against the wall at the bridge to listen to the water flowing underneath. Two loud motorbikes passed her but she didn't panic, she was ok with passing traffic and people. That's a great start, MINNIE on your first trip out of kennels. You were described as a "couthy girl" (look it up if you don't know!). We have a feeling you won't be waiting around too long, MIN. Please call Celia on 07826 244765 to find out more about the adoption process. |
