NICKI.

Sweet little sister.

NICKI is the second of the two sisters. She came in with her litter mate TORIE. The girls are not looking for a home together.

Peas in a pod, looks wise (except NICKI has a cute Mohawk (or is it a Mohican?) at the back of her head.

NICKI is a little shyer than her sister (you can see from the pics - she was a reluctant model!) A bit more skittish on the lead, but a good walker and very friendly and sociable nonetheless.

NICKI is petite with a shiny black coat and a sweet little face. She just turned 2 years old in July and has run only a handful of races.

NICKI at the park.

When NICKI went to the park she was lifted into and out of car. On arrival, she was shaking, when she first got out. She seemed quite anxious of and overwhelmed at, her new surroundings, bless her. She looked all around when walking and was crisscrossing on the path.

When a rabbit appeared in her sights and she saw more in a field, NICKI’s eyes were out on stalks! She has a prey drive and was pulling forward to get closer. She is however a teeny girl and is perfectly manageable on a lead with a harness.

NICKI turned out to be a social butterfly, keen to introduce herself to people passing by. First, a woman who she jumped towards to say hi, then a man who stopped to give her lots of attention. NICKI likes human contact and seeks it out.

She did settle down on her walk and was interested in the water at the loch, staring intently. When she met an older off lead border terrier, NICKI exchanged sniffs and was happy to meet him as she wagged her tail. Remember, these experiences which we take for granted are totally new to most of the ex racers in our care. However, they are smart cookies and usually catch on pretty quickly to their new life.

NICKI has a lovely, sweet personality and likes human attention, so would suit a home that could give her lots of love. She can be unsure and nervous in new settings which should improve with time and experience. NICKI is only young (2 years old) and would most likely benefit from a kind and confident canine friend in the home.

If NICKI sounds ideal for you, please call Celia on 07826 244765 for further details. Ask for NICKI.
