ROCKY. ROCKY is a fairly slim, medium sized black boy with a supershiny coat. ROCKY is 4 years old and in his prime. He is a nice walker on the lead, sociable with both boys and girls and affectionate with his walker. ROCKY has 4 white paws and a white tux. ROCKY is a really charming fellow with an endearing set of ears , the left ear almost permanently cocked, giving him a quizzical look. ROCKY at the park. ROCKY jumped into and out of the car. He needed a little help to get back in for the return journey. He had so much fun and wanted to stay out for more. He’s a good walker on the lead in the main but can be suddenly alerted to sights and sounds (especially rabbits), so he can pull forwards to investigate. He is quite strong, but he is manageable with a harness. At the park, ROCKY spotted a dog running off lead in the distance with a ball and stood watching with interest. He also saw a dachshund running about and was interested. On approach with the owners, ROCKY pulled forward quite quickly but didn’t lunge. As it was his first time outside the kennels for assessment, it was decided not to let them greet and sniff, just in case ROCKY got too excited. He will need a little more exposure to smaller dogs in order to get used to them. Straight after the dachsie, ROCKY met a medium sized spaniel cross who was off lead. On this occasion, ROCKY was quite relaxed, happily exchanging sniffs and hellos. A passing bike made ROCKY jump but he calmed down once it passed. It is such early days and a park visit is a lot to process for so many of our ex racers. ROCKY is a good, solid lad who will need a little time to adjust to his new surroundings and other dogs in the outside world. ROCKY is another wonderful, happy boy who will bring endless joy to his adopter. Please call Celia on 07826 244765 for more information. |
