| SAL is a petite 4 year old brindle girl, who is proving to be a mature lady, calm and good on the lead. Let’s call her “Sensible SAL”. SAL is fine walking with hounds, both male and female, at the kennels and is happy to get fuss from visiting humans too. SAL recently toddled off to the park with Martin and here is how she got on: SAL was reluctant to get in the car and needed lifting both times, however, once in, she settled quickly. On the lead, SAL likes to be in front, but will often return to her handler’s side. When a rabbit crossed the path in front of her, there was no drama or hysterics from SAL, just a quick glance and an attempt to follow it, but with no great intentions. SAL met an off lead mini schnauzer which stood back for a little, then came in for a sniff. She stared intensely at the smaller dog, but made no other reaction and he was on his way. She met two off lead collies which seemed curious about her and a little nervous of her. Again, SAL stood still and watched her new pals, then after looking away briefly, she made an attempt to sniff. A spaniel walked by while they were sitting on a bench and once he passed, he was let off the lead. SAL wasn't sure about that and tried to retreat. Some more meet and greets will help her become more confident with other breeds. All signs are good, however. SAL greeted every human she met and received lots of compliments. She also dealt well with traffic. If SENSIBLE SAL sounds right up your street, please call Celia on 07826244 for more details. Ask for SAL. |
